Dunsford & Scott/ Rocky Mountain Law Offices are committed to doing all in our power to provide a safe workplace for clients and staff. We will be reducing staff and lawyer presence on-site, but will still answer client calls, book appointments, and exchange documents with clients and courier services.

Our office is open

Just ring the doorbell, as the door will be locked. An appropriately sanitized table will be set up in the front hall. If you need to pick something up, it will be brought to you by the receptionist. If you're dropping something off, just leave it on the table. Please do not come in any further than the table, so that we, and you, can practice safe distancing.

As for appointments with the lawyers, we are keeping in-person visits to an absolute minimum. To that end we will be maintaining a maximum of two clients on site at any time.

Keeping in touch online

If you need to talk to either Susan, or Larry, the receptionist will take your contact information, and have them call you. The lawyers will be working from home.

While we do plan to use platforms like FaceTime and other video calling technology, the Law Society still requires that we obtain client identification. This means that we will still require you to show your chosen methods of identification to us through the camera and you will have to make a clear and legible scan or photograph of the document to send to us.

Staying safe

If an in-person appointment to sign critical documentation is needed, these times require that we keep a distance of 2 meters (6 feet) at the office, and to that end we will be providing a signing table at reception where documents will be executed in the presence of your lawyer.

We cannot stress the following enough:

If you are feeling unwell, do not come in. Contact reception and we will reschedule your appointment to a later date.

As for payment, for the meantime we no longer accept cash and will accept a cheque if you have no other means of payment. Our preference is for payment through Interac, credit or debit card.
