Larry Dunsford

Larry Dunsford was born in Victoria, B.C. and has lived in Alberta since 1972.

He completed his BA and LLB degrees at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. After law school, he was called to the bar in 1982.

Larry's current areas of practice include:

  • Family Law

  • Represented Adults. (Guardianship and Trusteeship)

  • Personal Injury, and

  • Real Estate

  • Wills

Larry has been involved in the community in many different volunteer capacities since making Rocky Mtn.Hse. his home in 1984. He is currently a Director of Rocky Credit Union Ltd, having served in the same capacity with Evergreen Co-operative Association for 20 years.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with Susan, canoeing, hiking and all forms of mountaineering.

Susan Scott

Susan Scott is one of the founding partners at Dunsford and Scott.

Susan grew up on a farm in nearby Innisfail and is a life long Alberta resident. With 40 years of legal experience, she is the one to trust with your legal needs.

Her work focuses on:

  • Residential and Commercial Real Estate

  • Wills and Estates, and

  • Corporate and Business Law, including Incorporation and support.

A graduate of the University of Alberta, Susan holds both a BA with a specialization in Economics and an LLB. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 1983. She has been an active and involved member of the Rocky Mountain House community for the past 40 years.

In addition to her work as a lawyer, Susan is a dedicated volunteer. She was a founding member of the Mountain Rose Women's Shelter Association, and is a past board member of Rocky FCSS, Rocky Support Services, and West Country Family Services.

Alexander Peters

Alex Peters is an associate lawyer at Dunsford and Scott.

He was born in Calgary and grew up in the rural village of Linden, Alberta. He has lived the majority of his life in rural Alberta and approaches the practice of law with the appreciation for the unique needs of rural clients.

His work focuses on: Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Wills and Estates, Corporate and Business Law including Incorporations and General Business Support.

He graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science and Economics. Upon completeing his undergraduate degree Alex went on to earn a law degree at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Alberta where he graduated in 2020. He was called to the Bar in 2021. While in Law School, Alex took part in the Western Canadian Law Negotiation Competition in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was awarded first place for having submitted the Best Negotiation Plan.

In addition to his work as a lawyer, Alex is a dedicated husband and father of two. When not in the office, Alex can be found spending time with his wife and daughters outdoors, usually biking or hiking in the mountains. He also enjoys playing and coaching sports, including hockey, football, baseball and volleyball. Currently Alex sits on the board of Rocky Support Services and is proud to be an active member in the Rocky Mountain House community.
